The Statement of Comparability is an official document that shows how your international qualification compares to the UK education system (England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland). It provides recognition and context for employment, study, or professional registration in the UK.

This is a paid service. Once your application is under review, the fee is non-refundable, even if you’re found ineligible. Be sure to review the full service details before applying.

Who Can Apply

This service is for individuals with academic, vocational, or professional qualifications from outside the UK. We may also assess:

  • Incomplete or partially documented qualifications

  • Micro-credentials and short courses


What You’ll Receive

Your Statement includes:

  • Your full name and UK ENIC reference number

  • Details of each qualification (name, country, year, awarding body)

  • A comparison to UK qualification levels (e.g. Bachelor’s, Master’s)


What It Does Not Include

The Statement does not assess:

  • Grades or subject-specific content

  • English language proficiency

  • UK qualifications (see the UK Qualification Reference Statement instead)

  • Eligibility for early years roles in England

  • Home Office English requirements (use the Qualification and Language Service)
